Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Cupping.

During a Cupping session, you’ll lie comfortably while cups create gentle suction on targeted areas. Therapists may use static or gliding cups, adjusting intensity to your comfort. Sessions typically last 30–60 minutes and include aftercare guidance for optimal results.

Most clients feel mild pulling or pressure but not sharp pain; therapists adjust suction for comfort. Marks or bruises are common, varying from light pink to deeper purple, and typically fade within several days to two weeks depending on intensity.

Clients with muscle pain, stiffness, chronic tension, or poor circulation often benefit. Cupping supports recovery, relaxation, and inflammation reduction. We assess medical history to ensure safety; pregnant clients or those on blood thinners may require modifications or alternatives.

Frequency varies by condition; acute pain may improve after one session, while chronic issues often require a series of three to six treatments spaced weekly or biweekly. Your therapist will create a personalized plan based on progress and treatment goals.

Side effects are usually minor: temporary bruising, mild soreness, or skin sensitivity. Rarely, blistering or infection can occur if aftercare is neglected. We follow strict hygiene protocols and review contraindications to minimize risks and ensure safe treatment.

Hydrate well, avoid heavy meals and alcohol before treatment, and wear loose clothing. After cupping, keep the area clean, avoid hot baths and intense exercise for 24 hours, and use gentle moisturizers or warm compresses as directed by your therapist.
